Mrs. Annie G. Woyea, the Executive Directress of the Lofa Women Network-Liberia, a dedicated leader with over 20 years of experience in social work, community development, and business. She has devoted her career to empowering women, children, and communities in Liberia by promoting human rights, fostering teamwork, and creating opportunities for growth. Mrs. Woyea has held significant roles, including Social Worker for Child Fund-Liberia, Project Officer with YMCA/IRC, and Loan Officer for SEND Foundation, where she supported gender-based violence survivors, trained young girls in life skills, and helped women start businesses through microfinance programs. Additionally, she has collaborated with organizations like UNDP and FED-Liberia to establish Village Savings and Loan Associations (VSLAs), train local leaders, and resolve land disputes in communities.
Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Management at Change Agent Network University, Mrs. Woyea also holds certifications in microfinance, trauma healing, and gender-based violence prevention, showcasing her dedication to continuous learning. Beyond her leadership at Lofa Women Network, she runs a business, applying her hands-on management experience to inspire and guide others. Meet Mr. Faya Mory Leno, our Admin and Finance Officer, bringing over 10 years of extensive experience in administration, finance, education, and social development across Liberia and neighboring regions. A highly skilled professional, Mr. Leno has held pivotal roles such as Accountant, Financial Officer, Social Worker, and University Coordinator. In his current role, he oversees the administrative and financial operations of the organization, ensuring efficiency, transparency, and proper resource management. His work not only focuses on maintaining sound financial systems but also supports community empowerment by coordinating impactful projects and facilitating capacity-building initiatives.
Mr. Leno has collaborated with numerous organizations throughout his career, showcasing his expertise in budgeting, financial reporting, field surveys, data collection, and project evaluation. During Liberia’s Ebola crisis, he demonstrated his dedication by serving as a Social Worker, where he provided vital support to affected communities, including counseling, awareness campaigns, and hygiene training for prevention. His leadership and organizational skills extend to educational institutions, where he coordinated administrative tasks at a university, ensuring smooth operations and supporting both staff and students.
Fluent in both English and French, Mr. Leno effectively navigates multilingual environments, fostering trust and collaboration among diverse groups. He holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in General Administration with a specialization in Financial Administration from the University of Labe in Guinea, where he graduated with honors.
Meet Mrs. Krubo Harris, our Gender Inclusion Officer, with over 20 years of impactful experience in gender advocacy, social justice, and community empowerment across Liberia and neighboring regions. A passionate leader, she has held diverse roles, including Animator, Women and Girls Advocate, Community Outreach Officer, Peace Education Facilitator, and Psychosocial Agent. Mrs. Harris is currently mobilizing communities, facilitating gender-focused programs, and empowering women through capacity-building initiatives while serving as a Master Trainer with YMCA. Her work addresses social inequalities, promotes women’s leadership, and fosters sustainable development, exemplifying her dedication to creating lasting change.
Mrs. Harris has collaborated with organizations such as RUDEC, Plan International, and the Center for Victims of Torture, where she has addressed gender-based violence, led community outreach campaigns, and supported survivors of violence. Fluent in English, Lorma, and Mandingo, she effectively engages diverse groups, fostering trust and collaboration. Her extensive training includes certifications in business development, cooperative management, leadership, and resilience, enabling her to design programs that empower individuals and promote sustainable growth.
